Killearn Village Hall Wedding Photography. This wedding I was helping my good friend Neil Thomas Douglas at Killearn Village Hall.
HUGE fan of village hall weddings – there’s something kitsch about them, specially dressed for a wedding – Love bunting & festoons!
(That’s string lights btw, I had to google it the first time I heard the word…)
The weather was rotten, that’s the risk you run in October, which by the way is my favourite time to photograph weddings – the colours are unbeatable.
Well worth getting rain on my glasses for!
Don’t worry about it raining on your day – if you’ve got a half-decent photographer you will still get amazing shots.
I religiously check weather apps to see when we can find wee breaks, this sometimes means jumping out during dinner!
Kathy & Jeff continued the autumnal theme in their colours and decor too, all the personal details really added to the earthy, autumnal wedding. – wee details like that really tie a wedding together, and we love it.
Despite the weather, these two had a total scream – Literally, every photo during the ceremony and speeches had them grinning from ear to ear.
One of those weddings where I find myself sitting smiling as I choose the photos for a blog – They’re the best ones.
Once Earnest took the stage the only rain we were thought about was the Purple Rain of Prince!
What a wedding. Get us back to Killearn ASAP!
Gary
