Christmas Wedding, Montrose Street Glasgow

I always try and do a video call with couple. Just to makes sure we get on, they can talk to me, and I can talk to them. In my opinion its a must!

Sometimes I worry when I have a video call and the Groom can’t make it. Grooms, more so than brides, are particularly nervous about photography. So I like to use the video call as a chance to let them know I’m not an absolute freak or a pain in the arse. (Well, I AM a pain in the arse, but not in the bad way!)

So when I had a quick zoom call with Kate, sadly Chris couldn’t make it. Even more difficult given that these guys stay in Norwich (Home of Alan Partridge) so I couldn’t even meet up with them later. We were going off pure Video call charisma! But thankfully Kate and I got on like a house on fire. So I made sure she passed on how fantastic I was!

The shoot started off at The Grand Central Hotel in Central Station, just to break the ice. Then it was time to hit the mean streets of Glasgow! The light rain (By Glasgows standards) didnt stop as as we made our way to our wee favourite, 23 Montrose Street Glasgow!

Greeted by both their parents we cracked on with a lovely wee ceremony – Including a multi ribbon hand fast, which I’d never seen before. Once the ceremony was over it was back out into Glasgow where got battered by the wind. Some might say it ruined our confetti photos, I would say made better!

Ubiquitous Chip Weddings

Regardless these two didn’t stop smiling all day and it was an absolute joy to photograph them in and around Glasgow before we made our way to Ashton Lane and The Ubiquitous Chip (Who also do Weddings btw).

Highlight of the day was finding out that these two are actually massive geeks and huge fans of Bloodborne! One of my favourite games of all time! I’ve even got tattoos from the game. Yes I am sad! But also happy as I found my fellow geeks AND got to be part of their day! So thank you so much Kate & Chris – PRAISE THE SUN!
