Satinwood Suite Glasgow Wedding • Alvin & Martin • 4th of October
What a day for Alvin and Martin, who tied the knot in true Glasgow elegance! The day began in luxurious preparation at the incredible Blythswood Hotel. Suited up and looking sharp, Alvin in traditional Indian suit and Martin in a Kilt, the couple embraced the city’s charm (and its effing rainy climate!). Taking a brilliant, rain-soaked walk through the streets to the magnificent Glasgow City Chambers.
A Glimpse of Grandeur: The Satinwood Suite
Their ceremony was held in the exquisite Satinwood Suite. This room is a hidden gem in the Chambers! The suite is famed for its stunning decorative panelling and woodwork. Crafted from rare, pale Satinwood, giving the room its unique, shimmering glow. It’s also one of the more intimate, ornate rooms. Offering a truly special and private atmosphere within the grand municipal building.
The ceremony itself was full of emotion, laughter, and a very special surprise: an appearance from their beloved dog, Mango, who arrived just as the celebration concluded—the perfect furry guest!
Rooftops and Pop Princess Bangers
Following the “I dos,” the party moved on to the historic Merchants House of Glasgow for drinks and socialising. A relaxed, joyful mood set the scene for a memorable afternoon. But the real secret highlight was sneaking onto the roof for some epic couple photos, capturing panoramic views of the city.
Emotional and hilarious speeches transitioned perfectly into a party that was pure fun! It was a night of dancing, laughter, and plenty of pop princess ballads that kept the floor full until the very end – I didn’t expect anything less from two grooms who had Pop Diva table names! Cant decide if I would have sat at Beyoncé or Lady Gaga… tough choice!
Congratulations, Alvin and Martin! Your city centre wedding was absolute perfection.
