Marie contacted us through a recommendation of a friend. She was having a small wedding, marrying her best pal Len in the Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow. Thats the hotel situated inside Glasgow Central Station – it has a champagne bar!
If you know us, you know how much we love a wee, intimate wedding. We’ve always wanted to shoot in the Grand Central Hotel too so we were buzzing to be considered.
A lot of folk get quite overwhelmed when they start looking for a photographer for their wedding day, there’s loads of amazing talent out there and incredible work. How do you choose? I recommend couples meet up with photographers, it lets them know if they’re suitable for the job – or if they’ll do their nut in! Getting on with your photographer should be a huge factor when choosing.
If you cant meet your photographer face to face – Then Zoom is amazing! Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams…. There’s probably others, there’s probably others, but definitely get a chat with them. Especailly if they are there all day.
As much as we pride ourselves on having a natural, non obtrusive documentary style, there’s still a lot of interaction that goes on between photographer and clients before, during and after their wedding – We always want to leave a wedding feeling more like we’ve made some new pals, had a great day and done a good job rather than just turning up and taking photos. We never want to be just another supplier.
Thankfully Gary didn’t do anyone’s nut in with he met up with Marie and Len to discuss their wee day. A few months later this is what happened…
We love these small weddings, so if you are having a wee wedding in the toon – GET IN TOUCH!
Enjoy!
