For this wedding Gary was lucky enough to assist the amazing Neil Thomas Douglas – a man who’s as equally as famous for his epic wedding photography as he is for sitting next to his exact doppelgänger on a flight to Ireland – seriously, google the story its 5 star!
One of the best things about being photographers is the community that we’ve become a part of. Glasgow has some of the most talented photographers in the UK, so we were always worried due to the incredibly stiff competition but we’ve been lucky to have met people who inspire us, educate us, mentor us and most importantly we can call our friends! Are there many self employed jobs where you can work like that with a competitor? We don’t think so….
The beauty of having two photographers is that more of your day gets covered – In this case it was Garys job to cover Adam and the groom prep at Glasgow Uni Chapel – from here the brave photographers ventured to St .Lukes near the Barrowlands for Gemma & Adams Friends theme’d wedding. St. Lukes is a brilliant venue (The fried pickles are amazing! So is the grilled cheese… not all our preferences are based on food btw!) its a good mix of new and old and you can’t beat shooting in the Barras either! Cracking wedding, and an absolute honour to be working alongside the fantastic Neil Thomas Douglas, total hero.
