CrossBasket Castle Wedding Photographer • Jodie & Derek • August
When you move from Glasgow to Australia, you probably expect to leave the “good” weather behind. But Jodie and Derek brought the sunshine with them for their incredible homecoming wedding. If you’re looking for Crossbasket Castle wedding CrossBasket Castle Wedding Photographer that proves Scotland can do summer just as well as the Aussies, this is the one!
The day began with a traditional and beautiful ceremony at St Joseph’s Catholic Church. After the “I dos,” the party headed over to the magnificent Crossbasket Castle. This venue is the definition of luxury, and it provided the perfect backdrop for their reception (Less said about the wasps the better!) and some truly hilarious speeches. I’m always tempted to quote a few lines, but definitely can’t with this one, sorry!
We were treated to a gorgeous golden hour that I’ll never forget. The light hitting the castle grounds was pure magic, making for some of the most stunning formal photos I’ve ever captured. These two are such gorgeous human beings—their couple shoot was so loving and natural, it made my job far too easy! Honestly, who needs Bondi when you’ve got a summer evening in High Blantyre?
As the sun went down, the energy went up. The legendary band Franco took to the stage and absolutely tore up the dancefloor. From the first dance to the final anthem, the place was jumping. Jodie and Derek, it was a total joy to capture your return to the home turf! HASTE YE BACK!
