Lucy & Brian – Cool Wedding BAaD Glasgow – March

Lucy and Brian’s wedding was easily one of the coolest weddings I’ve photographed. Especially as it was held at the famous BAaD venue in Glasgow’s Barrowlands. I had been wanting to shoot at BAaD for ages, this was my first time – It did not disappoint!

The morning prep started at the gorgeous Radisson RED, Glasgow, working alongside the awesome videographer Chris Kelly Films.

With the bridal party on one floor and the groomsmen on another – It was perfect as we could bounce between both (I say we as my wonderful wife Corinne was assisting on this day – The power of two photographers!)

A quick White Wedding Taxi to the venue and it was wedding time. The venue is stunning – The glass ceiling covers the place with beautiful natural light. Lucy & Brian had decorated the room with deep forrest green and burnt orange florals which not only tied in with the wedding outfits but also the decor of the bar and venue – a very nice touch!

The ceremony was conducted by the lovely Caroline Mortimer Humanist Celebrant, she is so nice! (And always tags you on Instagram, be more like Carol!)

After the ceremony the incredible Magician Renz kept the guests entertained (Seriously, check some of the guests reactions below) whilst we whisked the couple off for a quick shoot about The Barras.

I LOVE The Barras (Claire & Jordan, Gemma & Adam) – I was going to say “its lost its shine” but tbh it’s probably went the other way and became more shiny! But it’s still class. I love the juxtaposition of shooting a couple who look like a million bucks against the pure grime and dirt of Glasgow – You just cannae beat it. There’s always tons of characters out too, and they always, ALWAYS congratulate the couple – It’s beautiful #PeopleMakeGlasgow

After the speeches and dinner it was time to party with our good pals The Splendid Gentlemen – Lucy, Brian and their guests absolutely ripped up the dance floor as well, total carnage in the best possible way.
