Back to God’s Country: Sam & Jamie’s Gritty & Gorgeous Wedding at BAaD
For those living in London and returning home to marry, the East End stands alone in capturing the true Glesga soul. Sam and Jamie did exactly that, returning to God’s country for an incredible day of BAAD Glasgow wedding photography.
The ceremony was held within the stunning, light-filled atrium of Barras Art and Design (BAAD). Celebrant Tasha Leung from the incredible Fulcrum Celebrants officiated, and she hit that perfect sweet spot—keeping things deeply emotional one minute and havin’ the whole room howling with laughter the next. It was the first time working with Tasha and I hope its not the last!
After the “I dos,” we headed outside for some family photos against the iconic red shutters of the Barrowlands Market. You just can’t beat that backdrop! We then took a wander through the gritty, character-filled streets of the Barras for a couple shoot. The East End’s urban textures gave Sam and Jamie a class look and a vibe you won’t find anywhere else. And a special shout out to the absolute grafters opening their new Asian Street food stall! Will need to check it out.
The night kicked off with some cracking speeches, followed by a proper legendary buffet (the way all good Glasgow weddings should be!). The moment the staff cleared the tables, The Riffreshers hit the stage and sent the room absolutely mental.
Sam and Jamie, cheers for bringing the party back home. It was a proper East End belter!
